Giving Back: How Floom Energy Law Celebrates Success Through Community Support

At Floom Energy Law PLLC, success means more than just achieving professional milestones—it’s about making a positive impact beyond our office walls. Each year, we celebrate our achievements by giving back to the community through donations to non-profit organizations that are working to make the world a better place.

What makes this tradition special is the personal touch: each employee gets to choose a non-profit, ideally local, that resonates with them. These organizations then receive a donation from the firm to help further their missions.

It’s our way of contributing to the good energy in the universe—one meaningful program at a time.

Below are this year's selections. We invite you to visit the website of any organization and learn a little more about them.

Legal Services of Northern Virginia (LSNV): LSNV is the largest legal aid organization in Virginia, helping thousands of clients each year with civil legal matters. They serve the region’s low-income and neediest populations by providing legal advice and services in fields such as Housing and Family Law, community legal education, support for re-entry and return to communities, and other legal fields.

BeLoved Asheville: BeLoved Asheville is a unique and compassionate community-based organization that provides much-needed assistance to the underprivileged and underserved people of Asheville. Beloved provides critical support such as food, housing, medical, and mental health care. In the wake of Hurricane Helene and as winter approaches, BeLoved is securing warm and safe housing for the displaced.

So Others Might Eat (SOME): Since 1970, SOME has helped clients in the nation’s capital with their immediate and long-term needs by focusing on five key areas:  Housing, Emergency and Social Services, Healthcare, Education and Workforce Development, and Advocacy.

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue(CDCK): CDCK rescues animals (such as Uki’s fluffy twin) in overcrowded, under-resourced shelters. They are often the last hope for animals, many of whom would otherwise not be rescued due to injuries or other medical problems. They provide critical veterinary care and find loving adoptive homes for these pets in the DC area – enriching the lives of both humans and animals.

Animal Welfare League of Arlington (AWLA): AWLA’s mission is to improve the lives of animals and people by providing resources, care, and protection. It not only serves as a humane shelter for found or surrendered animals but also provides vaccinations, community care clinics, training classes, and a pet support pantry to help keep pets with their families during times of hardship.

Wilderness Kids Alexandria: Wilderness Kids Alexandria provides teenagers from under-resourced families and underserved communities in Alexandria, Virginia, with life-enriching experiences in nature, such as hiking, climbing, paddling, and exploring. Their efforts are built upon a foundation of seven values: nature is home, equity in community, curiosity, quality, mindfulness, gratitude, and creative expression.

Happy Holidays from Floom Energy Law!
